Obituary For Chester Eugene Powell

Mr. Chester Eugene Powell (Tony) was born August 6, 1946 to the late Mr. Ruben W. Powell and Mrs. Mable Thomas Powell in Newton, Kansas.

Chester was raised and educated in El Paso, Texas. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served for ten years. He was a master chef who loved to cook. His smile, laughter and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Chester Eugene Powell departed this life on August 29, 2007. He is survived by two brothers, Mr. Edwin (Sheila) Powell of Texas and Robert (Clarice) Powell of Michigan; two sisters, Mrs. Judith (Holiston) Murphy of Atlanta and Mrs. Karen Townsend of Atlanta; nieces, Tina Parker, Eugenia Colon, Deirdre Henderson, Triaune Johnson, Trish King, Catrina Powell, Latoya Powell, J'ne Powell, Janeen Murphy, Valerie Gulley, Mable Ragland, Toni Cannon; nephews, Leland Powell, Byron Powell, Trice Townsend, Jungul Powell, Roberto Powell; and a host of great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
