Obituary For Mr. Jimmy Austin

Jimmy Jermaine Austin affectionately known as "Jay"was born June 18, 1973 to to Rosie L. Austin and Jimmy L. Austin. He attended public school in Decatur, Georgia and was a 1991 graduate of Cegar Grove High School where he played football. After high school he attended Tuskegee Universtity in Tuskegee Alabama on a football scholarship. After spending a year and a half at Tuskegee, "Jay"came back to Georgia to work with his father as a mechanic. He became a certified mechaninic and they worked together until his death.

Jay was baptized at Saint Phillip AME Church where he joined the Youth Choir and the Bobby Kelly Usher Board. He attended Saint Phillip intil he went away to school.

On September 7, 2006, Jay and the former Melissa Mosley were married.

Jay leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife, Melissa Austin; his children, Shakela, Jimmy, Amber and Alexis and a precious grandbaby, Laila; His mother and father, Rosie Austin and Jimmy L. Austin, a sister, Christal Austin; Grandparents, Rozell Wright and Rufus and Pearline Austin; Father in law Samuel Walker (Columbus, Ms); Melissa's grandparents Lorenzo and Mary Walker (Columbus, Ms) Sister and Brother in laws, Ashley Snowden (Palmetta, GA; Mr. and Mrs. Roderick (D'Kisha) Vassar (Birmingham. Al), Larry Snowden,II, His uncles and aunts; William and Patricia Wright; Samuel and Frances Johnson, Henry and Evelyn Wright; Thomas and Melissa Wright, Bennie and Sharon Wright; Margaret Wright, Johnny and Lois Stewart; Terry and Margie Sanders; The Mosley Family (Monile, Al) and a host of other relatives; Three special friends, Ken Allen, Ellis Wiliam and Roderica Lacy.
