The Reverend Gregland Lomar Webb

04/15/1953 - 08/08/2009

The Reverend Gregland Lomar Webb grew up with a strong sense of devotion and a commitment to God and to the church. Following in the footsteps of his father, The Reverend Gregland Mills Webb and his grandfather, he was licensed and ordained to preach by the late Dr.J.A. Wilborn, Sr., pastor of Union Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia.

Born on April 15, 1953, Reverend Webb was blessed to be a member of a Christian family that included a no-nonsense father, a loving, devoted mother, Mrs. Myrtis Webb and five closely knit siblings: Barbara (James) Morgan, Lawrence Webb, Veronica (Ricky) Webb Stuart, and Toni and Cavanaugh Webb.

Greg, as he was affectionately known, was blessed by God with the gifts of vision, a generous spirit and a tireless passion for preaching the word and "just plain talking". He never met a stranger. He had a way of making it all personal. Greg loved to laugh! He would find delight in the smallest and the strangest things. He would make sunshine out of a rainy day.

Greg had a zeal for life. He lived life to the fullest. When faced with life's challenges, he always fought back to overcome them. Greg played the game of life to win. Greg never quit!
