Obituary For Mrs. Johnney Mea Payne

Mrs. Johnney Mea Kinney-Payne the wife of the late Noah L. Payne Jr., she was lent to us by God on February 21, 1939 in Sunny Hill, Louisiana. She became a Christan at a very young age and loved the Lord with all her heart. We loved her dearly but God loved her best and He decided to take her home on Thursday, December 8, 2011.

She attended O.W. Billion HIgh School in Kentwood, LA where she graduated in 1957. She was also a 1984 graduate of Cameron College in New Orleans, LA. Later in life she moved to Stone Mountain, GA and became a member of Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church. She then moved to Memphis, Tennessee to be with her husband, the late Payne where she joined the Church of Christ at Norris Road in Memphis, TN.

She leaves to rejoice her homegoing, five daughters: Cordella (Vinson) Tarantine, Stephanie Kinney, Luella (Joseph) Oliver, Amanda (Ricky) Swann, Della Kinney and one son, Willie Kinney. She was preceded in death by one son Joseph Bernard Kinney and her loving parents the late Bernard and Jessie Mae Kinney. She was the proud gradmother of 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was one of eight siblings. Johnney Mea is survived by her sister Mary Lee Kinney; brothers, Joe (Sylvia) Kinney, Richard (Audrey) Kinney, Walter (Mattye) Kinney and Robert Kinney. She's preceded in death by two of her beloved sisters, Marcia Spears Tucker and Lucinda Kinney. She also leaves to celebrat her life two aunts and a host of other nieces, nephews cousins, relatives and friends.
