Obituary For William Smith McDonald, Jr.

Funeral rites for Mr. William S. McDonald, Jr., of Decatur, will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the grave site at Westview Cemetery, 1680 Westview Dr., SW. Mr. McDonald, 74, died Saturday, November 10.

William S. McDonald, Jr. was the only child born to William S. McDonald, Sr/ and Lillie Mae Cook Collins on August 14. 1938. He grew up in Atlanta, GA and attended the Atlanta Public Schools. He was employed by Lockheed Martin Corporation until his retirement. William was an avid sports fan and enjoyed keeping up with current events. He was a long time resident of Decatur, Georgia and died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Golden Living Nursing Facility Atlanta-Northside. Those who cherish his memory include his devoted caregiver of twenty-one years, M. Kate McCrary; cousins, David Autry, Carol Hall, and Elizabeth Thrasher; and friends.
