Ms. Louise Hopkins, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Buddy and Carrie Mae Jenkins Brown Hopkins, granddaughter of the late Mrs. Odessa Brown, was born on December 16, 1951 in Sibley, Turner County, Georgia.
Louise was educated in the Turner County Public School System. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined the New Hope Baptist Church. Later in her life, Louise moved her membership to New Mt. Zion Church of God Apostolic, where she worshipped and served as a member of the Usher Board for many years until her passing.
Louise “Eve” Hopkins was a very sweet person. She loved her family, her church membership, and her pastor, Rose Johnson, and everyone that she came in contact with, and was always willing to help anyone that she could. “Her friendly smile and casual touch, these are the things that meant so much” to her. “May His peace be with you.” Her legacy will always be with us. “To know you are with is in our time of sorrow.”
Ms. Louise Hopkins made her transition from this life to life eternal on Friday, June 25, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
Wonderful memories of her will be forever cherished by her son, Willie Poke of Ashburn, Georgia; her granddaughter, Jacquett R. Jones; her sister, Ella Simmons (Alphonsa) of Ashburn, Georgia; her brother, Willie James Brown of Ashburn, Georgia; her aunts, Christine Weaver (Alton) Hagins, Alice L.
