Obituary For Donald "Puny" Morris

A memorial service for Donald "Puny" Morris will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Terry's Mortuary Chapel.

Mr. Donald "Puny" Morris was one of two babies born in Talladega, Alabama on February 24, 1954, to Ruby Love Morris.

Mr. Morris confessed Christ as his savior and united with Star of Zion AME Church. He was educated in the public schools of Talladega. Donald was a former employee of Georgia Pacific and performed various jobs around town. He was affectionately known as “Puny” by family and friends.

On Thursday, June 24, 2021, Donald was reunited with his mother, Ruby L. Morris; twin brother, Ronald "Big Bruh" Morris; two other brothers, Jimmy "Diamond Gem" Morris and Robert Morris; and one grandchild, Malisha.

Donald's memory will forever be cherished by his son, Robert Sims of Alexander City, Alabama; his daughter, Donna Sims of Austell, Georgia; five grandchildren, Quentin, Drevyn, Elizabethann, Genesis and Gregory; one great grandson, Grayson; two sisters, Julia Ann Capers of Dayton, Ohio and Gwendolyn Garrett of Talladega, Alabama; three brothers, Henry Milton Morris of Sylacauga, Alabama, Rev. Hugh (Andrea) Morris of Talladega, Alabama and Tyrone Morris of Clanton, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
