Harris Mack, Jr., son of the late Harris Mack, Sr. and Susan Irene Johnson Mack was born January 12, 1958 in the Jordan Community of Clarendon County. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Mack, Sr. and Lee Ernest Mack.

He received his formal education in the public schools of Clarendon County and graduated from Manning High School in 1976. He attended Central Carolina and received an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice.

Harris accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined Society Hill African Methodist Episcopal Church in the Jordan Community. He was employed at Federal Mogul for twenty plus years where he was a machine operator. He was a military veteran and served in the National Guard for numerous years.

He was a member of the Lakeside Panthers Baseball Team. He was well known for his talents in sports but baseball was his favorite. He received multiple awards and baseball trophies that spoke for his talents..

Harris was a good guy, loved kids and always wanted them to do the right thing. He loved his family and always wanted them around. Harris Mack was an all around guy.

On Saturday, June 26, 2021, God called and Harris Mack Jr. answered the call quietly at Prisma Health, Greenville, South Carolina. Those who cherish fond and precious memories of “Harris” are his children: Katrina (Jason) Jones, Manning, SC, Tendrick Junious, Pinewood, SC and Ivy Canty, Manning, SC; four grandchildren: Kenyon Cooper, Myren Walker, Jayden Walker and Jaylah Jones all of Manning, SC; five sisters: Frances (Charles) Miller, Philadelphia, PA, Sarah Mack and Lorene (Linwood) Perry both of Manning, SC, Gertie Mouzon, Elkridge, MD and Phinese (Tony) Howard, Columbia, SC; two brothers, Isiah (Sandra) Mack, Stafford, VA and Anthony (Cynthia) Mack, Manning, SC; two sisters-in-law, Lena B. Mack and Barbara Mack both of Manning, SC; two special aunts, Inez Manning, Manning, SC and Clitel Mack, Stockridge, GA; two uncles, Prentis Mack and Levi Mack both of Philadelphia, PA: a special friend, Robert James, Manning, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation for family and friends was held from 5 PM til 7 PM Thursday evening, July 1, 2021 at Hayes F. Samuels, Sr. Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services for Mr. Mack were held 2:00PM Friday, July 2, 2021 at Hayes F. Samuels, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church Street, Manning, SC.

Due to COVID-19, the family is not receiving visitors.
