Obituary For Mrs. Isabella Tobin

Mrs. Isabella McIntyre Tobin of Atlanta died Wednesday, January 13, 2010. A graduate of Spelman College (’45) and Atlanta University (’47), Mrs. Tobin retired from a distinguished career as a high school guidance counselor with the Atlanta Public Schools. She was widow of the Rev. Dr. Lucius M. Tobin, who was professor of religion at Morehouse College and pastor of Providence Baptist Church, Atlanta.

Mrs. Isabella McIntyre Tobin was a most generous benefactor of Spelman College. By 2000, her cumulative gifts to the college exceeded those of any other living alumna.
