In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Mr. Darcy L. Montgomery. Memorial Service will be Saturday , July 10, 2021 1:00 pm at Grissom-Clark Eastlake Chapel. Dracy Lamont Montgomery, a Father, Grandfather, Brother and Friend, the eldest of three sons of the late Stella Lee Ward and John Henry Montgomery, was born September 21, 1971 in Buffalo, New York. He was educated in the Buffalo Public Schools system. At a young age Dracy had big hopes and dreams, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in the late 80’s to follow and pursue those dreams. He loved music and had a strong desire to create and write music. While pursuing his dreams in music, he became an entrepreneur and business man. Dracy also worked as a Forklift operator. He was a great provider and always made sure his children and love ones were well taken care of. Dracy was the best father in the world and loved his family. He found great joy in being a father to his children. He loved to play, wrestle, run, sing and dance with his children while giving them anything they asked for, he was definitely the “YES parent”. Dracy also found great pleasure in helping his friends and others in the community. On Friday, June 25, 2021 Dracy made his transition at Sacred Journey, Atlanta, Georgia. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted fiancée Nikiya Milton; daugther (his Princess) Denasia Montgomery; three sons (his Kings) Jaquavius Rushin, Brock and Bosch Montgomery; three brothers, Tyrone Bradley, John Henry and Robert Montgomery of Buffalo, New York; two grandchildren of Atlanta, Georgia; a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
