Obituary For Mrs. Valerie Renee Jones

Valerie Renee Jones known as (Bam), was born March 26, 1960. She was the daughter of the late Bernice Kelsey and Moses Hughes. She was a native of Atlanta, Georgia, where she received her education at the Atlanta Public Schools.

On August 16, 1981 Valerie and Alvin Kenneth Jones were joined in holy matrimony. To this union were born six sons Huey Gene (Angel), Timothy Moses, Alvin Kenneth, Jr., (Alexandria), Aubrey Pete, Joshua Emmanuel, and Reginald Ezekiel; two daughters, Shardae Danae (Harvey) adn Brittney Lynn, She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother!

Valerie joined Paradise Church of God in Christ, September of 1992, under the leadership of Bishop Paul L. Fortson. She was a dedicated member of the Usher Board, and was faithful of the church until her illness.

On February 12, 2009 she departed this world and was escorted by the Lord to her eternal home.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her husband; Alvin Jones; 8 children, brother, 2 sisters, Ms. Janice Lynne Grier of Decatur, GA and Mrs. Angela Regina Rawls (Melvin) of Rex, GA; uncle, Mr. Ashberry Williams of Riverdale, GA, and Ms. Annie W. Dawson of Cincinnati, OH, Mrs. Mable Fudge of Jackson, FL; broter-in-law Jeffrey Jones and a host of neices, nephews, cousins, friends, and the Paradise Church of God in Christ family.
