Obituary For Ms. B'Nieka Lejune Taylor

Funeral Services: 11:00 am Wednesday, January 26, 2011 Central United Methodist Church Atlanta, GA Reverend Byron E. Thomas, Officiating

Interment: Kennedy Memorial Gardens

After a sudden and brief illness, B'Nieka LeJeune Taylor departed this life on her birthday, January 20, 2011 at DeKalb Medical Center, her place of birth. Even though, doctors and other Medical Professionals predicted at the time of her birth that she would not live beyond childhood, God in His awesome wisdom and amazing Grace had other plans. B'Neika defied all odds and lived a quality life into full adulthood.

Not many people have the same sunrise and sunset dates. Oh what a day of celebration, January 20, 2011 must have been for B'Nieka as she returned to her Heavenly Father, knowing that she had fulfilled God's purpose for her life. And what might those purposes have been? To bring Joy, Love, and Encouragement to her family and the many people whose lives she touched.

B'Neika was actively involved with the Adult Program of the Frazier Center. She became excited when she helped to deliver Meals on Wheels, was involved in Aids Atlanta Project and other Open Hands Initiatives to help Senior Citizens. This demonstrated her passion and love for others. She loved the Lord and fulfilled God's purpose for her life. She also loved her church Central where she had ushered and greeted people prior to service. She referred to our members as her “Church People.”

She leaves to celebrate her life, a loving and dedicated Mother and Father, Charles and Stella Taylor; a sister Shonoda (Marcellus) Stafford; a doting brother, Eric Taylor; two aunts, Ms. Deborah Taylor and Mrs. Yvonne Rocker; six uncles, Mr. Melvin Brooks, Mr. Keith (Diane) Taylor, Mr. Ronnie Taylor; Mr. Greg (Terry) Taylor; Mr. Tyrone Taylor; Mr. Dwight Taylor; two great uncles, Richard (Mildred) Brooks and Charles (Cecelia) Brooks; three nieces, two nephews; Special God Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lewis; a Special Aunt, Sonja Hines; a cousin and loving caretaker, Margaret Brooks; and a host of other relatives and friends.
