Shanice Lajoi Blackshear

Shanice Lajoi Blackshear was born June 25, 1995 to Stanley and Joyce Blackshear.

She attended magnet school and public school in St. Lucie County. Shanice was fighting her illness. She worked various jobs which included telemarketing, Walgreen’s, Fort Pierce Healthcare as a housekeeper, and Winn Dixie. Shanice was very independent and a real strong fighter. She never gave up until she got tired. Shanice was a member of the Rock Church International in Fort Pierce, FL. Shanice loved doing manicures and pedicures. She loved music and dancing. She was also a Girl Scout for seven years and received a “Gold Award,” which is the highest to get.

On June 19, 2021, Shanice peacefully departed this life to finally receive her rest. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dorothy Blackshear, John Rolle, Mamie Lee Chavis, and Willie(Juanita)Chavis.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her parents, Stanley and Joyce Blackshear; brothers, Darriel Hightower and Tyrell Hightower both of Fort Pierce, FL; sisters, Sade’ Blackshear, Tiffany Reese(Travelis) of Fort Pierce, FL and April(Albert)Smith of Orlando, FL; aunts, Carolyn Chavis, Linda Wilson, Cecelia(Damon)Richardson, Clethia Rolle, Shanetta White, Linda(Michael) Leslie, Melinda(Delvin)Hart, Sheila Patterson of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Dorothy Ann Blackshear and Julia Mae Blackshear of Port St. Lucie, FL, Pandora(James)Jones of Leesburg, FL; unles, Bernard(Felecia)Collins, Eugene Chavis of Fort Pierce, FL, Timothy(Yolanda)Rolle of Miami, FL, Apostle Antwon(Nanette)Chavis of Syracuse, NY; great aunts, Bertha Hart and Shirley Alexander of Fort Pierce, FL, Maryann Rhodes White of Vero Beach, FL, Charlie Mae Lamb of Baltimore, MD; godparents, Michael(Yvonne)Reynolds, Lucinda MItz, and Caspah Morris of Fort Pierce, FL; best friends, Monica, Indy, and Victravia Rolle ; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godsisters, godbrothers, and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.

Public visitation for Shanice Lajoi Blackshear will take place on Friday, July 2, 2021 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Graveside Services will convene on Saturday, July 3, 2021 @ 12:00 noon at Riverview Memorial Park in Fort Pierce, FL.
