Obituary For Mr. Melvin Starling

Mr. Melvin (Peter) Starling, began this earthly journey December 2, 1953, in Randolph County, Georgia. He was the seventh of eight children born to the late Mrs. Melodine Allen Starling and Mr. Dallas Starling, Sr. He was preceded indeath by three sisters, Etel Ware, Eloise Harris and Iola Miller; one brother, Dallas Starling, Jr.

Melvin attended Henderson Elementary School and graduated from Randolph County High School in Cuthbert, GA. He was member of the Class of 1972.

At an early age, Melvin joined the Piney Grove Baptist Church. He served reglarly until he moved to Atlanta in 1998. He was employed at Lehigh Henson (Heidelberg Cement Group) for seven and a half years. He really loved his job and his co-workers. Also, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Melvin departed this earth life on November 29, 2011.

He heaves to cherish his memory, two children, Tawanna Warren of Moultrie, GA and Christopher Warren of Multrie, GA; fiance', Christine Johnson of Clarkston, GA; two sistes, Rosie (John) Bell of Jacksonville, FL and Patricia (Nathaniel) Taylor of Cuthbert, GA; brother, Sylvester Starling of Jacksonville, FL; six granddaughters; and ahost of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Please find comfort in the following Bible verse, John 11: 11 where Jesus said: ..”Lazarus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep.” Please also find comfort in knowing that our Almighty Heavenly Father holds out the hope of the resurrection and the ability to see our loved ones again.
