OPELOUSAS – Visitation service will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Ms. Shirley Richard, 70, who entered eternal rest on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Tri-Community Nursing Home In Palmetto, LA.

Ms. Richard leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Eula Mason of Sedalia, MO; a special friend, Donald Dalcour of Morrow, LA; one brother, Manuel Mason, Jr. of LeMoyen, LA; four sisters, Lottie Everette (Joseph) of Alexandria, LA, Helen Baltazar of Glenmora, LA, Gloria Hayes of Lebeau, LA and Linda Mason of LeMoyen, LA; six grandchildren, LaTausha Allen (Andre, Sr.), Charles Wright, Troy Wright, Calvin Wright, Christopher Wright and Ashley Wright; seven great grandchildren, Andre Allen, Jr., Ashley Allen, Kyriyon Allen, Kobe Allen, Joshua Allen, Aramand Wright and Amayah Wright; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents, Manuel and Edna Cain Mason, Sr.; one brother, Howard Mason; and two sisters, Louise Mason Tezeno and Delores Mason.
