Mother Fleta Tookes was born September 27, 1924 in Ray City, Georgia. She became a member of New Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church. She was the Mother of the church for many years.
Mother Tookes was a well-known pillar of her Nashville, Georgia community. She was known for advising others to pray about it and let God work it out. She passed from labor to reward on June 17, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband Deacon Eddie Tookes (Milk Man); her son PFC Averon Ross; sister Fairlee Pinkson and several other family members.
She leaves to cherish her memory her pastor, Pastor Ralph (Willie B.) White, her grandchildren and a host of other family members, church mates and friends. She will be dearly missed, but always remembered in a special way.
Funeral services were Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at New Emanuel/Eastview Cemetery in Nashville, GA with Pastor Ralph White officiating.
