Obituary For Mrs. Evelyn Diane Reid

Mrs. Evelyn Diane Reid affectionately known as “Diane” was born to Mr. Clarence Gordon and Mrs. Theresa Wimby Gordon on August 15, 1947, in Lockport, New York. At an early age Diane accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and savior. She attended Lemon St. School System in New York. Diane married Mr. Tommy Williams. To this union she helped raised seven children, Tommy Lee Williams, Johnny Lee Williams, Betty Billingslea, Sherry Williams, Linda Booker, Maryann Williams, Debrah Williams;

Diane relocated to Georgia in the nineteen nineties and joined Tilson Church of God under the leadership of Pastor Clifford Rhymes.

Diane was employed at Southern T. for many years. She later worked at Sunset Restaurant where she was well known and loved by many people. In nineteen ninety-one Diane married Mr. Harold Reid. She enjoyed singing, dancing and most importantly Diane love spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Theresa Gordon; sister, Cora McCoy; twin brother and sister, Victor Gordon and Victoria Gordon; Aunt, Ritta Wimby; nephew, James Goolsby;

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, Mr. Harold Reid; brother, Mr. Clarence (Delores) Gordon; sisters, Patricia Sterkins, Bonnie Gordon, Ella (Willie) Goolsby; special nephew, Mr. Walter Scudders; special nieces, Rose Goolsby and Portia Goolsby; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
