Please accept my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your dear Darla. RIP my dear friend, my sister, Mrs. Darla P. Guiden. I will forever cherish our memories. Words cannot express the sadness I feel. However, I have comfort knowing you are now pain free, & in your heavenly home. We have shared so many memories over the years, & talked about any/everything. When I met you, your family became my family,& my family became your family. I’ve never questioned your loyalty. You have been the true epitome of a friend. We were always there for each other no matter what. We have laughed together, cried together, & celebrated accomplishments together. There was never any jealousy, competition, or strife among us. You would do anything in your power to help anyone. We have always uplifted, & encouraged each other. Most importantly, we have prayed together for each other & each other’s family. I love you dearly, & glad we expressed our love often. I know heaven is rejoicing right now, for you were truly an angel here on earth. I will miss you so much. My prayers & deepest sympathy goes out to the Guiden & Pouncy family. Continue to rest in heaven my darling Darla. Love ❤️ always. Darlene G. Stevens & family

Darla (Maria) as her family always called her. I worked with her mother Emma Bolding and I met Darla when she was a teenager. She was also smart, sweet, and kind. I had the opportunity of teaching her oldest daughter Jacqueline while she was in head start. Darla had the sweetest personality, was very mannerable, loved her husband, daughters, mother, brothers and other relatives. Darla loved the Lord and would share scriptures on her facebook page. She truly was an angel. Carrie Horton

Darla was a caring and wonderful soul and I know her work on earth was completed in a just and timely manner. I had an opportunity to visit with her and shared how much I admired her inner strength and resolve; although she was fragile she nodded her head and raised up to hug me. I will always remember-- God is so good to us all and I'm so thankful God ordained our paths to connect..rest in heavenly peace, My Sister Shirley C

I worked with Darla at Carroll County DFCS. She was one of the kindest, sweetest, most gentle people I’ve ever met. She always spoke of her daughters and how much she loved them. Certainly a life gone too soon. May God bless her family and friends.

My deepest condolences to the Guiden family. I worked with Darla for several years and I have never met a sweeter soul than Darla. Her heart was pure gold. She enriched, touched, and changed the lives of so many people. I can truly say she is stronger than anyone I have ever known and has been such a blessing to my life. I have felt so honored to be her friend. My heart is heavily burdened with her passing, but I know because of the godly life she lived on earth that our Father God has welcomed her back home.
