Obituary For Leon Foley

Mrs. Leon Foley departed this life Sunday, July 4th. Graveside services were held Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 11:00am at Old Field Memorial Gardens off Ten Mile Hwy in Baxley, GA. Leon was born in Louisville, Georgia on June 3, 1958 to the union of the late William Bradley Foley III and Evelyn Grant Foley. He was a member of Thankful New Jersey Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was a member of the Mason chapter #579 in Louisville, Georgia. He was united in holy matrimony to his devoted wife, Shelia, for 28 years. Leon was an advocate for organic gardening and baker. He retired from Foley Logistics after 30 years as owner and operator. He had a passion for driving trucks. Leon was preceded in death by his parents, William Bradley Foley III and Evelyn Grant Foley, his twin brother, Will Foley, Emory Foley, and Mary Frances Whitehead. A lifetime of memories of Leon will be in the hearts of his wife, Shelia Foley of Baxley GA; children : Yolanda Rodriguez (Rafael) of Orlando, FL., Brandon Scott of Atlanta, GA, Brittany Foley-Hendricks (Marvin) of Atlanta, GA, and La’Saundra Jenkins of Wadley, GA; siblings: Mary Deliah Green (Joseph) of Winston Salem, NC, Jo Evelyn Foley of Louisville, GA, Terry Foley of Augusta, GA, Edward Foley (Gail) of Brandon, FL, and Carolyn Trimble (Otis) of Louisville, GA; mother-in-law: Dorothy Swanson of Jacksonville, FL.; father-in-law: Jesse Alderman (Jackie) of Surrency, GA: sister-in-law; Rose Rooks (Carlos Sr.) of Baxley, GA; brothers-in-law; Darrell and Travis Swanson, both of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren: Ashton Muwwakkil and Caleb Rodriguez.
