Mr. Thadist Lamont Lane​ died on Sunday, January 8, 2018 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC.

Bartell Funeral Home, LLC located 2511 Highway 9 East is in charge of these arrangements. The family is receiving at 3057 Highway 9 East, Dillon, SC.

Funeral services will be held on Friday Jan. 12, 2018 at 1pm @ Manning Baptist Church (Dillon, SC) With Dr. Rev. Rodney McCorkle, Pastor...... Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery.....

Thadist Lamont Lane, son of Thad and Shirley Lane was born on April 21, 1975 in Dillon, South Carolina. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, South Carolina.

At an early age, he attended Manning Baptist Church, Dillon, South Carolina and was baptized. He attended the public schools in Dillon County and graduated in 1993. He continued his education at Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina.

Thadist was preceded in death by his grandparents: Addie R. Ware McRae, Mennie L. Lane and Gordon Lane.

Thadist leaves to cherish his fond memories ~ his parents: Thad and Shirley Lane of the home; four children: Thadist Lane Jr., Kadeem Lane both of Dillon, SC, Kwalik Lane and Thalia Lane both of Cheraw, SC; one brother: Craig (Hope) Lane of Dillon, SC; eight aunts: Mennie Ellerbe, Barbara Lane of Bristal, PA, Darleen (James) Murphy, Burnice Dunham, Dena Campbell, Dolly Dunham, Shirley Covington all of Dillon, SC, Connie (Ronnie) Johnson of Darlington, SC and Priscilla McRae of Bennettsville, SC; six uncles: James L. Lane of Dillon, SC, Gerald (Jennifer) Lane, Michael (Jan) Lane all of Greensville, SC, Andrew Dunham, James (Maggie) Dunham both of Dillon, SC, Clifton (Robin) McRae of Charlotte, NC, two nieces: Genesis and Johnasia Lane and one nephew: Chance Lane of Dillon, SC; two special friends; the mothers of his children: Brandy Miles and Melinda Lloyd and a host of cousin, other relatives and friends.
