Brother Ned Jones, was born April 17, 1954 to the late Mr. Charlie Jones and Pearlene Harris Jones in Taliaferro county. He departed this life to a better eternity life on July 8, 2021 at University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by a brother Jimmy L. Jones.

He spent his early years growing up here in Crawfordville, Georgia. He attended Taliaferro County High School where he graduated in 1974. He had a fun-loving spirit, always sharing funny stories, playing ball and following sports.

At an early age he joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church where he attended until he relocated to Knoxville, Tn. There he lived for forty (40) years.

Ned worked for Levi Strauss Company and then for Knox County School System for several years. He lived and worked in Knoxville, Tn until his health began to fail.

He is survived by his siblings: Joe N. Jones (Viola) of Asheville, N.C., Carl Jones (Vernita) of Conyers, Ga., Bobby L. Jones of Wilkes County, Ga. Shirlene Jones of Crawfordville, Ga., Patricia Shorter (Larry) of Union Point, Ga., Alfonso Jones of Thompson, Ga., Margaret Brooks (Reginald) of Locust Grove, Ga and Paul Jones of Crawfordville, Ga.; four aunts: Daisy Lee Gunn, Annie Daisy Jones, Shirley Jones and Lucinda Jones all of Atlanta, Ga. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
