Life’s Beginning: On a cool, sunny hot but breezy summer day in Lee County, Georgia a bubbly, happy and healthy baby girl was born the late Mr. Earnest Adams and Mrs. Katherine Lowery on July 29, 1938. Her paternal grandparents were the late Mr. Eugene and Mollie Henderson Adams of Lee County, Georgia. Her maternal grandparents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Will and PolliyPolk of Plains, Georgia. Education: Annie Sue Family thought education was necessary to succeed and be successful in life, they instill in her at an early age the importance of education. She receive d her education through the school in Lee County, Georgia Christian Journey: Annie Sue started her life with Christ at an early age at her home church in Lee County, Georgia named Jerusalem Grove Baptist Church. Annie Sue realized that she still needed a savior to save and secure her seat in the kingdom and rear her children to fear and serve the Lord after she moved to Florida. She united with the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Ritta Village in the 1950’s under the pastorage under the late Rev. Floyd Key. After the passing of Rev. Key, Annie Sue continued to serve dutifully under the new pastor and late Dr. Eddie James Walker. Annie Sue served dutifully as an Usher and a member of the Culinary Committee until her health would not allow her to serve. She was famous for baking those sweet potato pies. Life ‘s New Journey: Annie Sue moved to Florida (Ritta Camp) in the early 1950’s. She begin her life and journey as a mother during this time. She was the proud mother of seven (7) sons; Charles Adams (deceased), David Ross (deceased), Jimmie Lee Ross (deceased), Minister James Ross (Beverly) of Fort Lauderdale, Willie (Keisha) Ross of Fort Lauderdale, Minister Sylvester Ross (Cora ) of Clewiston, Florida, Alphonso Ross of Morrow, Georgia; two (2) daughters; Dr. Debra Ross of McDonough, Georgia and Evelyn Ross of LaBelle, Florida. She has thirteen (13) grandchildren: Tim, Shaun, Uronda, David, Catisia, Jennifer, James, Derrick, and Donchet’, Demetrius, DeAngela, Kendra and Alexandria, twenty – five (25) great grandchildren: She was preceded in death by her parents, her maternal and paternal grandparents, one sister; Ruby Johnson, two brothers, Robert Lowery and James Lowery. She leaves to remember ad also celebrate her legacy Five (5) Sister -in-laws, Mattie Williams, Bertha Hartage, Thelma King, Rose Ross ad Bessie Scott; One Brother – in – Law, Emory Ross; Two (2) devoted cousins; Mary Chambers and Sam Killen. A lifetime friend Helena Morris – Reid of Clewiston.
Life’s Journey Completed: On Friday night, July 9, 2021 Annie Sue’s earthly journey came to end. Her work down her was completed. Her new heavenly journey begins now. Her heavenly journey will lead her to the land of no more, no more sickness, no more pain, no more heart aches and no more sleepless nights. She bid all of you “Good night,”
