Janice Ann “Janny” Galloway, 71 of Sunset, TX passed from this earth on Friday, July 9th, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Family has chosen arrangements with cremation.

Janny was born December 11, 1949 to Ruth Barrett and Charles D. Wheatley in a small town in Oklahoma. She graduated from Trinidad High School in 1967. She attended East Texas State University in Commerce and graduated with a BS and MS in Education. Janny married David Michael Galloway on June 24, 2000 in Blanco, Texas, and the couple just recently celebrated their 21st anniversary. Janny retired from teaching from the State of Texas after teaching for 35 years, ending her career teaching Homemaking and video production. She retired from Palacios Jr. High School.

Janny is survived by her husband, David Michael Galloway of Sunset, Texas; her step-daughter, Hannah Merle Walis, and her husband Jeff Walis of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one granddaughter, Juniper Rose Walis; two sisters, Patty Sharp of Irving, Texas, and Suzy Wheatley of Santa, Fe, New Mexico; two brother-in-laws, Jerry Galloway and wife Betty of Sunset, Texas and Chris Galloway and wife, Pebble, of Bedford, Texas.

Janny will be deeply missed and was loved by her extended family and many, many friends.
