He attended Reid High School in Belmont, North Carolina. Later in life, he relocated to Pottstown, Pennsylvania, near his father, where he remained for a few years and worked at Stanley G. Flagg Company. He returned to Mt. Holly, North Carolina and was employed at Mt. Holly Spinning for several years.
Withrow had a great love for fishing and hunting. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, sharing stories and lots of laughs. In his earlier years, he attended Bethel Baptist church and throughout life, his love of God remained.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son; Keith Burch, and two brothers; Warren and Donald Burch.
Withrow leaves cherished memories to his devoted wife, Lucille Graham Burch, of Mt. Holly, NC, of 48 years; his daughters; Cassandra Burch of Buffalo, NY, Mary-Lois Burch-Wingfield (Keith Wingfield) of Queens, NY, Danielle P. Whitehurst of Charlotte, NC, Rene Burch-Williams of Gastonia, NC; His sons; Withrow Burch, Jr. of Charlotte, NC, Michael Burch of Charlotte, NC, James Johnson (Bonnie Johnson) of Kings Mountain, NC, Wendell Burch of Mt. Holly, NC; two brothers; Carlise “Pete” Burch of Charlotte, NC and Ronald “Ron” Burch (Cindy Burch), of Mt. Holly, NC. One sister; Dorothy “Dot” Burch of Charlotte, NC; eighteen grandchildren: Anthony Burch, Shannon Hammond, Derycka Hammond, Rashawn Wingfield, Keshauna Wingfield, Jaylin Wingfield, Aries Whitehurst, Branden Whitehurst, Chanelle Whitehurst-Ballam, Brittnay Burch, Jasmine Burch, Desmond Burch, Marquita Dixon, Cameron Moore, Mieka Johnson, Brittian Tre Jeffries, Destiny Burch, and Tristan Burch and a host of greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
