Obituary For Willie A. "Sonny" Badger, Sr.

~OBITUARY~

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou are with me; they rod and they staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Willie Albert Badger, Sr. was born to the late Rickson Badger and the late Jannie Marshall Badger on June 3, 1947 in Allendale County, South Carolina.

He was educated in the public schools of Allendale County. At an early age, he joined the Greater St. James A.M.E. Church.

Sonny, as he was affectionately called, was employed at Fairfax Dimensions, Fairfax, South Carolina.

He was joined in holy matrimony to Marie Badger and this union was blessed with (3) Sons: Albert, Tyrone, and Corey.

Sonny enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He loved and adored everyone dearly. Sonny enjoyed the presence of his children and creating memorable memories with each of them.

In addition, to his parents, Sonny is preceded in death by his life-long partner: Ellie Mae Mitchell, (2) Sons: Corey Badger and Albert Badger, Jr., (1) Grandson: Ty'Queyveon Badger, (3) Sisters: Ella Ree Patterson, Susie Mae Roberts Ritter, and Willette Badger Pryor; (2) Brothers: Rickson Badger, Jr., and James "Monk" Badger.

His departure on Monday, July 12, 2021 has left a tremendous void in the lives of his beloved family; (2) Sons: Albert Badger, Atlanta, GA, and Tyrone (Tina) Badger, Fairfax, SC; (1) Daughter: Lakeshia Mitchell, Fairfax, SC. (1) Stepson: LaKendrick Mitchell, Fairfax, SC; (2) Sisters: Shirley Badger, Fairfax, SC, and Eva Mae Elmore, Allendale, SC; (Appleton Community); (3) Brothers, Mack Badger, Fairfax, SC, Arthur (Beaulah) Badger, Fairfax, SC (Barton Community), Johnnie (Dorothy) Badger, Miami, FL.; (9) Grandchildren, Victoria Badger, Davion (DaeDae) Badger, Shyheim Badger, Demerius Badger, Tyrek Badger, Tyrone Badger, Jr., Trinity Badger, Tristian Badger, and Makara Davis; (5) Great-Grandchildren. Loving and devoted niece: Aleacher "Peaches" Badger. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.
