Obituary For Mark Everett Daugherty

Mark Everett Daugherty passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY. He was 61 years old. Mark was born November 11, 1959 in Columbus OH. to Catherine Buffington and Clarence Everett Daugherty, Mark was raised by his Aunt, June Daugherty Christy and his Uncle June T. “Mutt” Christy. In addition to his Parents, Aunt and Uncle, Mark was preceded in death by one sister, Gwen R. Buffington and one brother, Everett Boyce.

Mark was a 1978 graduate of Danville High School and entered the Air Force upon graduation where he served for 10 years. He was employed as an OTR Driver with Warner Trucking, also being employed by Northpoint Training Center, Tac Air, and Caterpillar.

Mark, a devoted Jehovah’s Witness, was a member of the Danville, KY Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. His family said Mark’s life took a decidedly different turn when he began to study the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses. He loved to witness to others. Mark also loved to do Woodworking and especially to spend time with his Grandchildren who lovingly called him “Papa Bear”.

Left to cherish his memory, is his Devoted Wife, Sunae Han Daugherty, Danville, KY, 2 Daughters, Gina Yvonne Daugherty of Lexington, KY and Catherine Renee (J.J.Calloway) Daugherty of Danville, KY, 7 Grandchildren-Dominique Higgins, Eric S. Higgins III, Nyemah Morias, Clarence(C.J.)Daugherty, Gavriella Daugherty, Zyon Richard, and Za’Harrah Clarkson; Brothers, Charles Keith Daugherty-Danville, KY, Don Boyce, June Boyce,and Gil (Vernae) Boyce of Columbus, OH, a Niece, Shonetta Boyce of Columbus, OH., Special Friends Don Mudge and Bill Nash and a host of relatives and friends.
