Obituary Sis. Alice Mae Jackson was a resident of Mansfield Louisiana and a native of Oxford, Louisiana. She was born September 23, 1935 to the late West and MayBelle Donovan Jackson. Alice Mae was baptized at an early age at the Zion Hill Baptist Church # 2 in Pelican, Louisiana. As a young adult, she moved to Mansfield, Louisiana where she united in fellowship with the Gethsemane Baptist Church. Alice Mae, also known as “Mae”, was a brave warrior and the matriarch of the “Jackson” clan. Her doors were always open to anyone in need. She had an open-door policy for all family members, and anyone else in the community, the young and the old. She was a hard worker and an extraordinary provider for her family. She will be remembered for her good heartedness, her exemplary culinary skills and her remarkable resilience toward life. Alice Mae lived and enjoyed a blessed life. She was a loving mother & grandmother, devoted sister, supportive aunt, caring friend, good neighbor, and an individual who loved God. During her life, those who knew her - knew that she enjoyed the Jackson Family Reunion gatherings, where she reigned as the “Domino Champion” and the “Bar-B-Que Extraordinaire”. Alice Mae quietly departed this life on July 14, 2021 at PAM Specialty Hospital Shreveport South. She was preceded in death by her parents, West and MayBelle Jackson, her maternal and paternal grandparents, one sister, Maggie Lee Pore, eleven brothers – Kinnie Jackson, Raymond Jackson, Joe Jackson, Ocie Jackson, R. T. Jackson, Albert Jackson, Thomas Jackson, Emmet Jackson, Hardy Jackson, Sr., R. J. “Quint” Jackson, and Joe N. Jones, one daughter, Dorothy Jackson, Atlanta, Georgia(2009), one son, James Earl “Pete” Moblin, Shreveport, LA(2018), and one grandson, Raoul Youngblood, Bossier City, Louisiana(2003). She leaves to cherish her memories, four children, Rebecca J. Youngblood, Mansfield, Louisiana, Katherine Vaughn, Gonzales, Louisiana, Mae Alice Walker(Elmo), Mansfield, LA, Robert Lee Jackson, Germany, one sister, Wanda Jones Turner, of Mansfield, Louisiana; two brothers, Kenneth Wayne Jones and Gregory Jones, both of Mansfield, LA, eight grandsons(Royal, Frederick “Freddie”, Wesley, Alonzo, Derrick, Joe, Jeremy, and Tommy), nine great grandchildren (Kaneshia, J.D., Jeremiah, A.J., Treasure, Jalen, Ashia, Aul, and Ace), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, good neighbors, and friends.
