Guest Book

We had not seen Ronald since 1966 when we left the dirt road on the Teague farm in Madison, NC. We were neighbors to Ronald's grandmother, Ms Olivia Martin. We loved going to the spring at the bottom of the hill in the cow pasture and search for salamanders. The water was always cold at the spring. No dipper nor cup was used. We would cupple our hands and drink right from the ground water. I was older but Ronald was stronger so I would ask him to help me tote buckets of water to our house from the spring. In return, I would make french fries outdoors in a kettle using wood as fuel, lard from the pigs daddy raised for sale and potatoes from the garden , to feed his family of 4 children, a wife and his mother. At the end of the day, memories are sometimes all we have left. With much appreciation to the Martin and Adams family for sharing a summation of Ronald's journey with those who knew him.Much love to all of you from Vivian Timlic, William Timlic and Felisha Timlic Short of Durham and Raleigh, NC.
