AUGUSTA, Georgia—Carrie L. Bentley was born on July 26, 1922 in Lincoln County, Georgia to Dea. Carey N. Bentley and Leila L. Bentley. She was educated in the local school systems. Her professional career took her to Chicago, Illinois where she worked as a Dental Assistant for 40 plus years at the Southside Dental Clinic of Chicago.

She departed this earthly life on July 19, 2021. She was the oldest member of the Rock of Ages C.M.E. Church.

Survivors are her son, Donese N. Bentley; daughter, Willie Mae Bentley; sister, Ethel M. Brown; three grandchildren; three nieces; a devoted niece/caregiv- er, Joyce Oglesby; three nephews and a host of great- grands, great-nieces, great-nephews, loving cousins, family and church members and friends.

Graveside services will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Charles Henderson, officiating.
