Funeral service for Rose Core, 83, of Auburn, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 24, 2021, at New Life Christian Center, 2051 West Point Parkway Opelika, AL 36801, with interment in Auburn Memorial Park Cemetery, Pastor Auzzie Comer will officiate. (face covering is required)

Mrs. Core, who passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born March 27, 1938, in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing for Mrs. Core will be Friday, July 23, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (face covering is required)

Mrs. Core will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service. (face covering is required)

She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Bernard (Carolyn) Webb of Fayetteville, NC, Leander (Shirley) Core of Wichita, KS and LaShander (Alvin) Warren of Auburn, AL; grandchildren, Bernard Jamaal Webb of Fayetteville, NC, Shauntee (Brian) Alston of Durham, NC, Kimberly Moye, Trevon Webb both of Fayetteville, NC; Tenia (Lamar) Boyd, Charlotte, NC, Freddie Christopher Thomas, Robert Edwards Calloway Jr. both of Opelika, AL, Cordero Core of Dallas, TX, Jessica Grey of San Francisco, CA, Chelsea Warren of Opelika, AL, Joshua (Keema) Miller of Fort Collins, CO and Moriah Warren of Auburn, AL; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Calvie Burnette of Opelika, AL; special nephew, Raymond Black of Buffalo, NY; special nieces, Bessie Martin, Amelia Hooks both of Buffalo, NY and Claudette Deyamport of Atlanta, GA; a host of other nieces, nephews; special friends, Dora Lockhart, Dorothy Core, Arcola Felton, John Washington all of Auburn, AL and Mary Jean Hester, TX and many other longtime friends who she cherished.
