Obituary For Timothy Ezra Atkins

Our beloved, Timothy Ezra Atkins, was born December 21,1993 to Miatta Atkins and Christopher Harris at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA. He passed away July 20, 2021. Those who loved him knew him as Tim, Timmy, or Timbo.

Growing up in the Grant Park and Thomasville communities, Timothy was a product of the Atlanta Public School System, where he attended Parks Elementary and later received his GED from Southside High School.

Timothy was a loving and caring person who loved life, his family, and loyal friends. A very special person in his life, who he called “Pop”, Kenneth Atkins, was his granddad, road dog, and best friend. He loved playing “Games of Chance”, which spoke volumes regarding his intellectual aptitude and acute mathematical prowess. One can say, he definitely won more than he lost.

Timmy leaves to cherish his memories: two lovely children, daughter, Lon’Dyn Stephens, son, Kaiden Stephens, as mother of them Ebony Stephens, mother, Miatta Atkins, brother Devonte Atkins, brother Kenneth Marquis Atkins, maternal grandfather Kenneth Atkins, maternal grandmother Beverly Atkins, uncle Carlos Atkins, aunt Regina Banks, special friend, Marquavia Harris, his father, Christopher Harris (Gloria), his paternal grandfather, Tony Bearden (Linda), and his paternal great grandmother, Rosezenner Bearden. He is also survived by a host of family and friends who will truly miss him.

Service will be Friday, July 30, 2021 at 1:00PM at First Mt. Selah Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA. Rev. Jeremy Thompson, officiating.

Services will be livestreamed. Please see the below link to the Celebration of Life services.

Sincere condolences, prayers and love to my other family. Miatta, Beverly and Kenny, I am truly lost for words. I watched Tim grow up through the years. He was so mischievous and loving. Hold on to the memories and they will provide some comfort. God knows all and sees all and He will fight your battles. Just have faith and be still. I love you all and you all know that Tim loved each one of you. Weeping may endure for a night. But joy, sweet joy comes in the morning. ♥️♥️
