Benjamin Franklin Williams was born on July 22, 1946 in Thomas County to the late Lloyd Williams Sr. and Sadie R. Williams of Boston, GA.
He was a 1965 graduate of Magnolia High school in Thomasville Georgia. After graduating high school, Ben selflessly served his country during the Vietnam War and was an honored Veteran of the United States Army. He later attended Faulkner University where he graduated with a Master’s in business in 1990. He was a respected businessman, community leader and friend to everyone he met. He worked in various leadership positions and retired with the Nabisco company as a regional account manager. He is still to this day affectionately known by some as Nabisco. He was a faithful and devoted member of Assembly of Praise Worship Center church under the leadership of Pastor Mac C Davis Jr. of which he served as a head deacon.
Most people in Boston knew him as Ben. He made it a point to always have a kind word, share wisdom, and provide a positive outlook. He was involved with several committees and was extremely active and passionate when it came to his home townof Boston. It was always his mission to bring people together and he did just that with his many plays and annual Thanksgiving dinners. He wanted to put a smile on the faces of everyone he came in contact with and was known to always have a good joke and a prank or two up his sleeve. A loving husband, father, brother, cousin, friend, and advocate for others. Ben will be missed.
He was proceeded in death by one son, Franco Williams, Brothers Jim L. Williams and Lloyd I. Williams. God son Roger Ingram, God daughter Chrystal Ingram, Adopted son Dwight Williams, Adopted daughter Henrietta Robinson. Brothers, Soloman Williams, Boston, GA, Randall (Cheryl) Williams, Valdosta, GA, Bobby (Aldrenna) Williams, Meigs, GA. Sisters Doris (Larry) Spruill, Rosa (Barry) Hamm, Marilyn (Cliff) Adderley all of Jonesboro, GA. Adopted siblings Carlton Bryant, Lea Frontenberry, and Teresa Sullivan. Grandchildren McKenzie, Laylah, Ziah, Mason, and Madison. A host of Aunts, Uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 4PM at Victory Fellowship Church in Thomasville, GA. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
