Memorial Services for Sadie Ruffin will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at Cedric D. Clark Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

Sadie Lavel Sartin-Ruffin loving daughter of Janie Lee Sartin passed away peacefully the evening of July 13th 2021. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family. Sadie was born September 20,1959 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Janie Lee Sartin. Sadie was the oldest of 4 children Joseph Sartin (Gina), Donald Anthony Shelton, Sonja Michelle Bennett (Tampa) all of Las Vegas,Nevada. She married Dennis Williams and from that union she leaves to mourn 2 Children, Deon M. Sartin (Yolanda) of Milwaukee, Wi And Dina L.Williams of Meridian, MS. She also leaves behind 3 Grandchildren , Jessica Phillips, Alyssa James, and Gregory Myles James all of Milwaukee, WI. Her Aunt’s Johnnie Williams of Milwaukee, Wi. Addie Tucker of McComb, Ms, Mary Lewis of Oxnard, California,Her Sister/Cousin Cathy Baines-Wash(Mitch) of Meridian, MS.Special friends Steve Erkins of Ufala, Alabama, Bobbi Baker of Georgia, Dot Hopson(John) of Meridian, MS, Mary Poe of Meridian, Ms , Gina Fairchild(Jessie) of Meridian, Ms a host of neices, nephews cousins and friends.

Sadie was kind and I enjoyed our talks during her last year while she was in Meridian. She often mentioned my dad, her cousin Obbie Sartin, who taught her in middle school and they fondness for each other. My heart is with Deon and Yolanda and Dina during this time. Renee' Sartin Kirby

i am so so sad for the loss of Sadie!!! We met thru my brother, Steve Erkins, and then developed our own friendship. We had many long talks. I will certainly miss her!! Julia Erkins Owens
