Arthur received his education from Leonard Street Elementary School, Griffin Middle School, and the infamous William Penn High School.
Like his brothers before him, Arthur started his employment with Sellers Grocery, the family business. Arthur’s eccentric personality afforded him the opportunity to work in many different fields, but his favorite position was that of a waiter at Top of the Mart. Here, he merged his passions of fashion, dressing up, and talking to people.
Arthur’s reputation for fashion preceded him as he was well known for his extravagant suits with matching hats and shoes. In his spare time, Arthur exhibited his talents at many area fashion shows.
His memory lives on in that of his brother: Lawrence (Mary); one sister: Leshia Green (Kelvin); aunts, two nieces, three nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
