Obituary For Mrs. Lizzie Mae Gamble

Mrs. Lizzie Mae Gamble was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Mrs. Gamble would give the shirt off her back to help anyone who crossed her doorstep.

Lizze was born on December 12, 1938 to the late Mr. Jessie Lee Childs and Sis. Anna Liza Harvey Childs. She was a PROUD member of New Hope Baptist Church in Manchester, GA and remained a faithful servant until her health problems prevented her attendance.

She was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Willie Henry Gamble and to this union nine children were born.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Gamble is preceded in death by her husband: Willie Henry Gamble; a daughter: Beverly Gamble; three sisters: Jewel Howard, Lina Mae Childs,and Louise Gamble; and three brothers: Willie E. Childs, Herman Childs and Jessie Lee Childs.

Her memories will be cherished by her loving children: Brenda Carter, Tommie (LaVivian) Gamble, James Gamble, Mario (Glendale) Gamble, Tabitha Gamble, LaShay (Sol) Ferguson, Chatasha (Bobby) Heath, and Willie J. (Natalie) Gamble; five siblings: Ernest (Betty Jo) Childs, Martha Childs, Freddie Lee Childs, Annie Ruth Mattox, and Melvin Childs; two sisters-in-law: Josephine Wilson and Sarah E. Gamble; one brother-in-law: Carter Gamble; best friend: Fern (Fran) Tigner; 22 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Graveside Service will be July 26, 2021 at 1PM at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery 195 Pigeon Creek Road Manchester, GA 31816. Face coverings and social distancing are required.
