Interment, Sawdust Cemetery, White Plains, GA. The Reverend Dr. William E. Flippin, Sr., Senior Pastor, Eulogist, Officiating. Rev. Columbus Champion was born in White Plains, GA., April 1,1940 to the Paentage of the late Peter, Fannie Champion. At and early age he received Chrrist as his personal Savior. He joined the Second Baptist in White Plains, GA. He was educated the Greene County School System. September 6, 1961, he married the love of his life Sallie Moore. Cherishing his memories, the love of his life for 59 and a half years, Mrs. Sallie Champion; his devoted daughter, Angela C. Cunningham; grandsons, D.J. Cunningham, Brian Keith Champion, granddaughter, Brianna K. Champion, daughter-in-law, LouRanda R. Champion; 1 sister, Sallie C. Grimes; 2 brothers, Dea. Eddie (Darlene) Champion, Tommie Champion, all of White Plains, GA.; 2 sisters-in-law, Ms. Mildren Moore, of Crawfordville, GA., Margaret Moore, of Detriot, MI.; 1 brother-in-law, Clinton White, of Brooklyn, NY; and a host of neices, nephews, other loving relatives and friends. Forever in our hearts will be, Special friends, Ed Morgan, Moses Carroll, Kenneth Lowe, Robert Davis, Clifford McGhee, Marion Throten, other Ministers and Deacons, and all other Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church family.
