Bernice was a lifelong resident of Fort Pierce, Florida, and attended Fort Pierce Westwood High School. She was employed in home health care and food management until her health failed. She was a member of Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Clarence Ingram.
Bernice had a great sense of humor and always made others laugh. Known as Prena and Bernie Bern, she was the advocate and voice for all and ready to fight and champion any cause. She had a heart of gold and loved to barbeque and feed her family and friends.
On Sunday, July 25, 2021, our Heavenly father called Bernice from labor to reward. She is preceded in death by her Parents; John Henry Spivey and Grace Spivey; Brothers: Johnny Spivey, Lasella Spivey, Ulyess Spivey, Carl Spivey, Luke Spivey, Matthew Spivey ; Sisters: Donna Spivey Hammond & Alberta Patterson; Niece: Tonya Washington, and Nephew: Willie Hammond, III.

Public visitation for Bernice Sabrina Spivey will take place on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 3:00pm. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
