Lay Minister Johnny Wilbert Dockery, 74, of New Bern died Sunday, August 1, 2021 at his residence.

Viewing hours are 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM Thursday at Oscar's Mortuary, Inc.

His service is 11:00 AM, Friday, August 6, 2021 at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church 720 Bern St., New Bern. The interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Marisa Byer Dockery of the residence; five children, Darrin Dockery, Juan Dockery, Joel Byer, Daniela Byer and Jocelyn Byer; two sisters, Eula Murdough and Ethel Dockery; eight grandchildren.
