Obituary For Isiah Parker

Gadsden Memorial Funeral Home offer Condolences and Sincere Sympathy, as we announce the passing of Mr. Isiah Parker 85, of Ohatchee, Al., who transitioned on Sunday, August 1, 2021. Homegoing Celebration will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 7, 2021, at First Missionary Baptist Church, Ohatchee, Al., Rev. Michael Massey, officiating.

Retired Master Sergeant Isiah Jesse Lee Parker was born to the parentage of the late Karey and Sadie Bell Parker, on July 10, 1936, in Calhoun County, Alabama.

Our Heavenly Father made an earthly call on Sunday, August 1, 2021, and he answered the Master’s call to Glory.

Isiah confessed his life to Christ at an early age as his Lord and personal Savior and united with Ohatchee First Missionary Baptist Church in Ohatchee later in life where he served on the Trustee Board.

Isiah was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Angeline Parker on December 26, 1961. He was a proud and loving father of two daughters.

He leaves to cherish his many memories; two daughters, Kimberly (Frederick) Sutton, Powder Springs, Georgia; and Mesha Parker, Ohatchee, Alabama. Three grandchildren, Katisha Sutton and Zinitra Sutton, Powder Springs, Georgia; Jaylaan Parker, Houston, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Kaiden Sutton and Kylen Sutton of Powder Springs, Georgia. An honorary son Elliott Collins, Ohatchee, AL; One sister, Minnie (Daniel) Nolan, Anniston, Alabama; a sister-in-law Eva (Eddie) Traynham, Douglasville, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Karey and Sadie Bell Parker, his loving wife Angeline C. Parker, his brothers J. C. Williamson and James Parker; his sister Ruby Lee Jackson, his stepbrothers Paul Jones, John Nathan Jones, and Clavis Jones; his stepsisters Thelma Buckner and Terra McGill.
