Obituary For Martha Dover Hampton

Martha Dover Hampton was born September 9, 1947 in Rutherford County, to the late Crawley Dover Sr. and Maggie Petty Dover Hamrick. She was a graduate of Carver High School where she played in the high school band. She was employed by King’s Department Store for a number of years. Afterwards, she began a career in textiles. She joined Haynes Grove Baptist Church at an early age. She was a faithful member until her health declined. Martha was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. She is survived by four children; Gregory Wayne Hampton of Forest City, NC, James Hampton of Rutherfordton, NC, Tamara Hampton of Spindale, NC and Telly Hampton of Forest City, NC, one sister, Mary Elizabeth Phillips of Alexander, Virginia, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
