Freeman Davis Sr. was born on November 28, 1948, in Hamer, SC to the late Johnnie Davis Sr. and Ruth Naomi McCallum Davis. Freeman made his transition to his heavenly home on August 6, 2021, in Fairmont, NC. He attended Hamer Cannon Schools, and then began to work at an early age. Freeman was a hardworking and dedicated man. He did everything in his power to provide for his family. Freeman worked endlessly throughout the years—He held a job as a machine operator at Mohawk (Image) Carpet for over 25 years until the closing of the plant. Then he later retired in 2012 from Perdue Farms. On February 26, 1970, he married the love of his life—Naomi Taylor Davis. In their union they gave birth to 4 children. Freeman committed to his vows with Naomi, for sickness and for health. He spent the last 16 years of his life caring for his wife, where he took great joy and pleasure being her caregiver. Even after his health began to fail, he would always try to assist with her in any way that he could. He was not happy unless she was happy, and he made sure he did just that.
