Mr. Larry D. McCullen, Sr., 65

Larry D. McCullen Sr. (Geech) was born January 10, 1956 in Quitman, GA to Maxine McCullen and the late Tyrone Thomas, Sr.

He graduated from Brooks County High School in the class of 1976. After high school, he was employed by Quitman Housing Authority for many years. Larry was known for doing many skilled jobs as a handyman.

Larry departed his life August 1, 2021 at Brooks County Hospital, Quitman, GA. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Arnett and Melvin King, his grandson Larry McCullen II, Arnett King Jr., Willie (Billy) King, Armadeen King Thompson, Ardwin King and Vicky Nelson Brown.

Larry leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife Blond Eva McCullen, Valdosta, GA, mother Maxine Newsome, Valdosta, GA, daughter Yolanda McCullen, Valdosta, GA, his sons Larry McCullen, Jr. (Antionette), Valdosta, GA, and Terell McCullen, Valdosta, GA; seven grandchildren. His Siblings Shirley Chapple, Valdosta, GA, Anthony (Laura) Jones, Chesapeake, VA, Sharon Milton, Valdosta, GA, Ervin McCullen, Quitman, GA, Darryl McCullen, Atlanta, GA, Tracy Monds, Gainesville FL, Shelia (Ellis) Atkins, Valdosta, GA, Joseph Nelson, Valdosta, GA, Tyrone Thomas Jr., Quitman, GA, Gwendolyn Thomas, Bonita Thomas Lacy, Randy Thomas and Celesta Thomas. A Devoted and caring aunt raised with him as a sister Vera Hollis, Dixie, GA and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Quitman with Pastor Bobby Christian officiating.
