Agraveside celebration of life for Dorothy Marie (Ree) Porter 76, of Anniston, Alabama will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Forest-Lawn Gardens with Reverend Sammie Lee Fears Sr., officiating. Dorothy Marie Porter began her life's journey on August 11, 1944 in Dothan, Alabama (as the first born child) to the parentage of Dorothy Mae Longs and Ralph Carver, Sr.

Her and her family later relocated to DeArmanville, Alabama where she spent the remainder of her childhood and grew into adult hood. Mrs. Porter accepted Christ at an early age at DeArmanville Baptist Church. Later on in life she became a member of the Cane Creek Church in Weaver, Alabama until her health failed. In life, she loved the Lord above all and begin a mother to her children. She was a social butterfly and never met a stranger. She loved music, dancing, as well as, cooking large meals while entertaining her family and friends.

She showcased her dancing talents as a majorette in her high school band. Mrs Porter began her eternal journey on August 2, 2021. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Mea Longs; her father, Ralph Caver, Sr; her brother, Michael Caver; her daughter, Jennifer Williams; her son, Cornelius Williams; and two great-grandsons, Vasquez Williams, Jr; and Kyree Sanders. She leaves to cherish her memories: her aunt, Edith Foster; her uncle, Alfred Caver; two sisters, Katrina (Shannon) Jacobs and Joyce Caver Hall; three brothers, Ralph (Kim) Caver, Jr; Fredrick Caver, and William Caver; six children, Louie Williams, Marion Thomas, Michelle Williams, Demetris Williams, Sr; Ronika Williams, and Delisa Williams; fifteenth grandchildren, Delissia Adamson, Alexander McMorris, Demetris Williams, Jr; Vasquez Williams, Sr; Denetris (Anne) Williams, Brittany Williams, Gabrielle Thomas, Armando Williams, Demetris Williams |||, DeAndre (Haley) Williams, Wayne Williams, DeJordan Williams, Austin Thomas, Sienna Tremain, and Gianna Alldredge; twenty great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
