Macon, Georgia - Graveside services for Alton L. Gurr, Sr. are 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 17, 2021 in Macon Memorial Park. Mr. Gurr was born in Macon to the parentage of Sgt. Jimmy, Sr. and Wilhelmena Gurr. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and a graduate of Ballard Hudson High School and was a former employee of Armstrong World Industries and Georgia Power.

Survivors include: children, Jarquetta Tharpe, Erica Gurr, Eric Gurr and Almario Jackson; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three devoted nephews, Antonio Boone, Vido Anderson and Phillip Gurr; and a host of family of friends.
