Mr. Mark Steven Amos was born on the morning of June 23, 1964 to the union of the late Mrs. Susie Atwater Amos and the late Mr. Howard Amos, Jr. He was one of seven boys. Mark was educated in the Upson County School System and attended the R. E. Lee Institute. After school, he became employed with the Thomaston Mills for suffering an illness that rendered him disabled. He was a member of the Mary Lizzie Baptist Church, where he loved the worship service and the preaching of the word. Mark met and was joined in marriage to Ms. Margaret Ree Smith on August 9, 1985. This union was blessed with one daughter, Wylanda; and their combined family included an additional daughter, Marty. They shared twenty-nine years together until her passing on August 31, 2016. Mark was funny and a very caring dad. He loved to make people laugh, and he loved to poke fun at his own siblings who would laugh right along with him. Being in his presence meant being surrounded by laughter.
