Mr. Robert Lee Smith, Jr. of Union Springs, AL passed Saturday, August 14, 2021 in Union Springs, AL.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. EST (12 noon CST) Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Nero Baptist Church Cemetery, Midway, Alabama with Rev. Dr. John H. Curry, officiating. Visitation will be Friday, August 27, 2021 from 1-5 p.m. EST

Mr. Robert Lee Smith, Jr. was born February 8, 1947 in Barbour County, Alabama to the late Robert L. & the late Georgia L. Smith. He was a member of Nero Baptist Church, Hurtsboro, Alabama. He was united in holy matrimony in April of 1967 to Rose Dillard Smith.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Smith; three sisters, Pollie Lias, Roberta Smith and Lillie Bell Brooks; four sisters-in law, Annie Will Dillard, Martha Dillard, Mattie Dillard and Cynthia Dillard; one brother in law, Johnnie Brooks, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories; two sons, Andrew (Ethel) Smith, Tuskegee, AL and Robert Smith III., Union Springs, AL; four daughters, Rosetta Smith, Dorothy Smith,Mary Smith all of Union Springs, AL and Denise (Ken) Bynam, Phenix City, AL.; eight grandchildren; Xzavius, Jacquice, Darrell(Brielle), Marquavius, Victoria, La’Cheryl, Elisabeth, and Elijah; seven great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
