John Maurice Freeman was born on May 1, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois to the union of Sandra and Emmanuel Freeman. John was the oldest of the five children. His younger brothers, Michael and Darryl (deceased); and sisters, Cheryl and Jolande.
As a child, John lived at 1216 East 54th Street in Chicago, IL and attended Murray Elementary, Bret Harte School and Kenwood High School. John also attended Knoxville College in Tennessee and Mt. Senario College in Wisconsin.
John received an honorable discharge with the rank of Sergeant from the United States Air Force on February 2, 1989.
John worked at and retired from United Parcel Service after 24 years. John re-dedicated his life to Jesus Christ in September of 2018 at the Living Word Christian Center in Tuskegee, AL.
John is survived by his wife, Deidra W. Freeman, three step-children, Kironde, Kyra and Karsten; two step-grandchildren, Chance Hearn and Psalms Hearn; siblings, Michael (Terry), Cheryl (Ron) and Jolande; his nephew, Shawn (Tiana); four nieces, Jenise, Favia, Ayanna and Qianna; three great nieces, Cherelle, Ashley and Jazmin; one great nephew, Cameron; a host of other relatives and friends.
