Sheneka Kay Prince was born a twin on November 21,1989 in Florence, South Carolina at McLeod Hospital to Maggie Prince Harrison and Larry Harrison. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Janie Rose and Robert Prince, and Robert Harrison.
She was educated at St. John Elementary School, Mayewood Middle School, Brewington Academy and Crestwood High School. Sheneka played basketball at Mayewood Middle School. She graduated from high school in 2008. She went on to obtain her Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting from Virginia College in Columbia, SC.
She joined her childhood church, Melina Presbyterian Church at a young age. She was a member of the children’s and youth choir. Sheneka was also active in Sunday School and Girl Scouts. Sheneka was a very easy going, fun spirited person who could make anyone laugh. She made a friend everywhere she went. She also had a very close bond with her mother. She was a very devoted and protective mother to her children. She held various jobs throughout her lifetime. Her first job was at McDonald’s in Florence, SC as a teenager. After high school, she worked for Salvation Army in Florence, SC, Belks in Sumter, SC where she stayed until she transferred to the Belks in Columbia, SC, Subway and UPS until she obtained a position as a Medical Assistant with QTC Medical Group in Columbia, SC.
She is survived by her children, Shykell Prince, Dominick Hanna, and Ramanda Jones; parents Maggie and Larry Harrison; her grandmother, Lizzie Harrison; three sisters, her twin Shemeka (Wayne) Williams, Kwander Jackson, and Bridgette Miller and two close cousins who were more
Graveside services for Miss. Prince will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 27, 2021 at Melina Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Gable, SC. Rev. Mary R. Hagan, Eulogist, Rev. Dr. Franklin D. Colclough, Sr., Presiding, Rev. Carnell Hampton assisting.
The family is receiving friends at the home of her mother, 1043 E. Sherwood Drive, Sumter, SC.
