Obituary For Bennie Ornie Cunningham Davis

The Lord welcomed home his good and faithful servant - Mr. Bennie Ornie Cunningham Davis on August 17, 2021 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born on March 6, 1962 to the late Essie Allen Cunningham and Jackson Davis; Bennie was educated in the Laurens County Schools and a member of the 1980 class of Laurens High School. He went on to further his education at Piedmont Techincal College where he studied Auto Machanics.

Bennie was a member of the St. John Baptist Church in Cross Hill, as well as a member of the Men Aide's Society Lodge #64. He spent his adult life in the transportation - driving for Swift Trucking Company; in construction erecting cellphone towers throughout the States, and welding or working on cars in his spare time.

In addition to his parents, he was greeted at the Gates by his only daughter Chelsea Sanders.

His life will be celebrated my those that have loved him dearly: sister Lillie Walker Grant of Clinton SC, raised like a brother Sammy ( Bonnie) Goggins of Mountville SC, brother in law James Grant; Aunts: Asie Doby of Charlotte, NC and Johnnie M. Barber of Suitland, Maryland; Neices: Tiwona Walker of Greenville SC and Angela(Tony) Walker Leake of Columbia SC., great neices and nephews: Tanisha Rice, Cherish Young,Vinson (Danielle) Rice, Justin Shipp and other loving relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Bennie Cunningham Davis was held August 22, 2021 in the St. John Baptist Church Cemetery, Cross Hill, SC.
