Obituary For John Thomas Boyce

John Thomas Boyce was born on September 12, 1951 to the late Luther Boyce and the late Bessie Lee Boyce. He departed this life on August 12, 2021 at Rutherford Regional Hospital of Rutherfordton, NC. John attended Carver High School of Spindale, NC. He was also known as “Popcorn”. He worked for the city of Spindale, NC until he became disabled. He loved watching WWF Wrestling, and he was a die -hard North Carolina Tar Heel fan. “Popcorn” also loved to listen to music and he loved his cars and he kept them clean. He was preceded in death by his wife; Betty Jo Boyce, parents, Luther and Bessie Boyce, his siblings, Roy Lee Hamilton, Charles F. Boyce, James William Boyce, Florine Washburn, Lola Louise Martin, Mildred Ann Jackson, one grandson, Scottie Epps, two granddaughters, Ashley Boyce and Aniyah McEntire. John leaves to cherish his fond memories; six daughters, Wanda Watkins of Shelby, NC, Fonda Watkins of Forest City, NC, Tonia Wilkins of Spindale, NC, Florie Boyce of Rutherfordton, NC, Monica Boyce of Charlotte, NC, one step daughter, Tonia Lipscomb of Caroleen, NC, twelve grand-children and twenty three great grandchildren, one brother, Eddie Lee Boyce (Vicki) of Charlotte, NC, three sisters, Eula Twitty, Faye Lovett and Mary Frances Watkins all of Forest City, NC, one brother in law, a special friend, Julia Elder and a host of niece and nephews.
